"[Cortes] deserves defeat. The performance of Jaime Cortes has been so applling that [he] doesn't deserve another term in office. Residents deserve public servants who will inspire greater confidence. Beth Villarreal is the best choice over Cortes and two other challengers because she could provide a clean break with the precinct's clouded present. She lives in Oak Cliff and is a patrol and community relations police officer... We believe Villrreal would restore public trust."

We won! Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to elect me Precinct 5 Constable and thank you to every voter who voted. There is not a Republican on the ballot in the general election, but I will not take office until after the November election. I'll have more to say over the next few days and weeks as I prepare for transition into office. In the meantime - Thank you for the trust and confidence you placed in me and the opportunity I now have to live up to that trust and work with you to make our neighborhoods a better place to live.
